Cassie + Brandon's Saugatuck Engagement Photos

One of the best things about being a Michigan photographer is the incredible amount of lakeshore we have and the diversity that comes with it. When coming up with engagement session location ideas, the Lake Michigan shoreline is usually listed multiple times throughout my suggestions. We have wide open sandy beaches, dunes, forested dunes, beach grass meadows, lighthouses, boardwalks, and peninsulas. And that’s just on the west coast!

Here’s a few highlights from Cassie and Brandon’s engagement photos from Saugatuck last weekend.

Alyssa + Jason's Engagement Photos

Being a Kalamazoo photographer means I’m right in the middle of Detroit and Chicago and I’m always willing to do a little traveling to photograph some of these great people and places between! Here’s a few from Alyssa and Jason’s engagement session in downtown Detroit. We started at The Skip and ended at Belle Isle. Can’t wait to photograph their wedding coming up in May of 2022!

Lindsey and Tim's Kalamazoo Wedding

I first met Lindsey and Tim in early 2019 when we met up for their engagement session at Rawson’s King Mill Park in Southwest Michigan. They were so fun to work with and they made each other (and me!) laugh through the entire session. Tim is a genuine goofball through and through!

So since then, I’ve been eagerly anticipating their wedding day in October of 2020 at the beautiful Blue Heron Barn in Kalamazoo. The venue was amazing, and the people were amazing. They were both so laid back and willing to put in the time throughout the day to get some amazing photos. I even brought my rubber boots so I could jump in the stream for some incredible first look photos on the bridge. Weddings like this are the reason why I love my job as a wedding photographer! Congratulations to you both and I hope to be photographing your amazing journey through life for years to come! Check out a few of the highlights below…
